Action Martial Arts Programs |

Our training programs use a structured training curriculum where students are introduced to the more traditional aspects of martial arts with an emphasis on courtesy, discipline and self-control. In addition, our program helps students develop responsibility by learning goal setting and leadership skills, self-confidence, self-esteem, which can result in the form of better grades and better performance in other sports. As well as the ability and courage to say NO in the face of peer pressure. All along the way, they will be learning to show respect to others as well as to themselves.

Definition of TAE KWON DO
"By the way of the hand and the foot"
Literally translated, the Korean word,
"TAE" means to kick with foot.
"KWON" implies a hand or fist to block, punch, or strike.
"DO" means an art or way.
Our roots are based in the traditional Chang-Huyn Tae Kwon Do system. We are affiliated and recognized by several National and International Martial Arts Organizations.
We teach Tae Kwon Do along with Brazilian Jiu Jistsu, Small Circle Ju Jitsu (the gentle art of persuasion), Grappling, Western Style Boxing Techniques, self defenses, nunchacku and escrima sticks. Students will learn material to help them reach the black belt level along with self defense techniques. Both consecutive and point sparring are taught, as well as 2 person on 1 sparring in preparation for black belt testing.

Tiny Tigers Program |

These classes are aimed to prepare the child to join the regular scheduled children's program. The programs purpose is to introduce children to the fundamentals of martial arts. Through the use of fun exercises and games, children are allowed to explore martial arts movements that develop motor skills, coordination, creative expression and the ability to focus.
The building blocks for our systems are:

Our Tiny Tigers program is a specialized class designed for 4, and 5 year olds with an emphasis on martial arts moves, focus, and discipline offered on Tuesdays & Thursdays in the Action Martial Arts Academy.
We also offer a Tiny Tigers program specialized for 3, and 4 year olds with integrated motor skills drills, martial arts moves and important life skills offered on Mondays & Wednesdays in the Action Martial Arts Academy.

Basic Program |

Ages 6 and up. This class is for beginners from white belt through senior yellow belt. Learn Tae Kwon Do skills, balance, coordination and traditional martial arts values in this well-structured, safe environment. The Basic Program is our entry-level membership. It is basic self-defense and physical conditioning program designed to enhance your child's self-esteem and self-discipline. This six month program teaches the students the basic martial arts and self-defense techniques including blocks, punches, kicks, and stances. It is a program that allows us to teach the student how to be a martial artist and developing them to be a black belt from the inside out.
Classes are taught by 7th Degree Black Belt Master John Drew and 5th Degree Black Belt Allison Drew.

Junior Leadership and Black Belt Training |

This is an on going program that teaches our students not only the basics of martial arts, but all of the techniques that are necessary to one day become a Black Belt. This curriculum teaches all of the striking techniques, patterns, self-defense techniques, sparring games, drills, and board breaking needed to become a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
In addition to all aspects included in the Black Belt Training Program, this advanced curriculum allows a student to begin learning the material needed for their advancement to First Degree Black Belt. Curriculum includes advanced weapons training, including nunchacku and escrima sticks. The student is also exposed to competition sparring and forms, as well as, grappling.top |

Family Classes - Beginner and Advanced Adult Leadership |

This class is for families and adults, all belt levels welcome, and includes all aspects of training as mentioned above but is formatted to an adult level of training so an adult can train and practice the art of Tae Kwon Do. top |

Certified Instructor Training (CIT) |
| |
CIT (is by invitation only). This is an elite group of students who are not only dedicated to the highest level of Martial Arts training but also want to learn the art of effective leadership. This program is designed to take the student through the necessary training required to become an assistant martial arts instructor. All CIT skills translate into everyday life, making our students role models in the community. These students have access to all classes our schools offer.
